scribble

‘scribble’ is an extended installation piece designed to draw attention to the complexity of a still body. Six squares are arranged in a two by three grid, with each playing an extreme close-up of a naked body part. Slowly, they fade in to the furious scribbling of a pencil. Like our still bodies, the action is so simple. But blood is pumping, electricity is flying, muscles are expanding and contracting; everything beneath the skin is much more complex. And all we see is what’s placed on the canvas.
